Founded in 1888 by a group of passionate Maitland locals, The Mutual Bank was established with the mission to ensure that financial investment stayed within the local area.

Payroll Services

The Mutual Bank's Internet Banking enables you to manage your employees' payroll from the convenience of your own computer.
For your security, only an authorised user can process payroll, and each user can be given their own unique login and access code.
You can create, modify and process payroll files, including future-dated payrolls, which can be processed while you are on holidays.
It's easy to use, simply create a list of payees or upload the payroll files created by your accounting package* (e.g. XERO).

Internet Banking

Internet Banking allows you to securely do your banking online, 24 hours a day, anywhere you have access to the internet. Our tailored Business Viewpoint platform allows you to delegate access to your accounts to nominated staff with varying levels of authority, including read-only access, to help reconcile accounts for your approval.

BPAY® Biller**

The Mutual Bank's BPAY® Biller is an electronic bill collection service that enables your customers to make BPAY® payments direct to your business account.
This means fast payment of invoices, as funds are immediately available in your account once received.

MYOB Banklink

Our Internet Banking allows uploading/downloading of transaction files from/to MYOB. MYOB accounting solutions are designed to give you easier access to more accurate bank transaction data, by offering you automatic bank transaction feeds that are accurate, reliable and secure.

XERO

XERO is an online, cloud-based accounting package which allows business owners and their accountants to manage their business’s finances from anywhere they have access to the internet.
XERO enables business owners to register for ‘bank feeds’ so that transactional data is uploaded from their financial institution automatically each morning. Registering for bank feeds eliminates the need for members to upload statement data manually, saving the business owner time.

Direct Debit User Facility

If you hold a Business Account with The Mutual Bank you may be able to participate in The Mutual Bank’s Direct Debit User Facility, which enables you to make multiple direct debit transactions using the Bulk Electronic Clearing System’s Direct Debit functionality.
To apply for a Direct Debit User Facility, you must meet the following criteria:
Hold a Business Account with The Mutual Bank; and
Complete a Direct Debit User application form.
Please note, an application fee will be debited from your Business Account when your application is received.

Batch processing and rental disbursement

Batch processing is when a business makes multiple transfers for such purposes as payroll, accounts payable, or rental disbursements, by creating a batch .ABA payments file through your accounting software, such as MYOB or Xero.
The .ABA file is uploaded through the Multiple Transfers menu item within Internet Banking. If batch payments processed via Internet Banking need more than one person to authorise the payment, this can also be arranged.
When creating the .ABA file, you will need to enter the following information in your accounting software:
Bank Code: MMB
Bank ID or Australian Payment Network Limited number (APCA number): 045107
Self-Balancing File Option: Yes or No
APCA Name: Your businesses name
For information on creating an .ABA file in your accounting software, contact your accounting software provider’s customer support team.
