Savings Account Interest Rates

  Interest is calculated by applying the daily percentage rate applicable to the daily balance to the entire balance and paid on the last day of every month. The daily percentage rate is the applicable annual percentage rate divided by 365. Interest will be calculated and paid if there has been at least one deposit and no withdrawals on the account during the calendar month. If this condition is not met, no interest will be paid for that month. Interest credits to this account do not constitute a deposit.

• ² Interest is calculated by applying the daily percentage rate to the daily balance and paid monthly. Bonus Interest of 10% of the amount of interest earned is payable if there are no withdrawals for the month. The daily percentage rate is the applicable annual percentage rate divided by 365.
• ³ Interest is calculated by applying the daily percentage rate applicable to the daily balance to the entire balance and paid three monthly on 31 March, 30 June, 30 September and 31 December. The daily percentage rate is the applicable annual percentage rate divided by 365.
• ⁴ Interest is calculated by applying the daily percentage rate to the whole daily balance and paid 6 monthly on 30 June and 31 December. The daily percentage rate is the applicable annual percentage rate divided by 365.

  Interest is calculated by applying the daily percentage rate applicable to each portion of the daily balance to the relevant balance tiers and paid monthly on the last day of every month. The daily percentage rate is the applicable annual percentage rate divided by 365. Up to 5.15% p.a. is a combined rate and includes a base interest rate of 2.75% p.a. and a promotional bonus interest rate of up to 2.40% p.a. Bonus interest applies for three months from the date of deposit on new electronic deposits made between 13 April and 31 May 2026. Eligible deposits are funds transferred from another bank. Internal transfers, cash and cheque deposits are not eligible. Deposits qualifying for bonus interest are reduced by withdrawals made from the account, starting with the earliest qualifying deposit. Rates are subject to change. Fees and charges may apply.

^*Penalty Interest will be charged at a rate of 20.00% per annum on overdrawn accounts. This penalty interest will be calculated daily and charged on a monthly basis.
