Our team are involved in a number of community fundraising ventures and volunteer work opportunities across the Hunter.

Money Talks

The Mutual Bank is proud to be involved with the development of the financial literacy program, Money Talks, alongside Hunter Valley Youth Express. The program is designed for high school students in years 9 to 12, providing them with the opportunity to discuss a range of financial literacy topics including budgeting, opening a bank account, superannuation, insurance, payment systems and internet banking.

Career Days

Our staff are always eager to be involved in Career Days held by local schools, to provide students with insights on career opportunities within the financial services sector.

Mock Interviews

Mock Interviews provide students with experience in presenting to an interview panel, replicating a job interview. Staff from The Mutual Bank help facilitate these interviews and provide students with feedback on their performance. This program teaches students valuable skills that are required when applying for a job.

Australia Day

The Mutual Bank proudly supports community events on Australia Day, with our staff volunteering in the following locations:

  • Maitland Park, Maitland
  • Speers Point Park, Speers Point
  • Riverside Park, Raymond Terrace
